Our Story
Our story began when we were just teenagers in high school.
In 2001, at a school bus stop, two lives—and two families—were forever changed in an instant. Heidi was badly injured and required emergency care… and, as it turned out, a new boy in her life as well.
In the weeks that followed, we began spending more time together. What started as simply being there for support slowly grew into something neither of us expected—especially considering we didn’t even like each other, (in fact, not at all).
As time went on, we became inseparable and decided to take a chance on each other.
Over the years, what began as a frightening and uncertain moment became something far greater than we could have imagined—a relationship shaped by resilience, faith, and a commitment to choosing each other every day.
