Our Story

Our story began when we were just kids in high school long before we understood what it would grow into.
In 2001, at a school bus stop, two lives — and two family trees — would be forever changed in an instant. Heidi was badly injured and required emergency care… and, as it turned out, required a new boy in her life too.
In the weeks that followed, we spent more time together. What began as simply being there for support slowly turned into something neither of us expected — especially considering we didn’t even like each other at first (in fact, we didn’t like each other at all).
As time went on, we became inseparable and decided to take a chance on each other.
Over the years, what began as a frightening and uncertain moment became something far greater than we could have imagined — a relationship shaped by resilience, faith, and a commitment to choosing each other—every day.
